I bring to the table a deep background in experience strategy, qualitative research and facilitation methodologies to drive innovation and strategic decision making within organizations. I have conducted qualitative research across a range of industries and geographies. Programs have included online education for low income students, technology behaviors in farming, consumer trust-building with health insurance providers, and health information delivery for Community Healthcare Workers in Africa. I am a skilled presenter and facilitator and have conducted countless workshops across a range of different industries and audiences and spoken at numerous conferences and events.
My Background
I spent 9 years at frog design leading generative design research, social impact and product design projects. After that, I launched my own consultancy to help organizations leverage human centered design to build meaningful experiences -- work ranged from research around maternal health in rural Madagascar to development of Innovation processes to inform Healthcare innovations and research around trucking logistics to inform software and product decision making. In 2019, Gensler brought me on to lead Strategy for the emerging Digital Experience Design practice. While at Gensler, I focused on bringing human centered design practices like community engagement and qualitative research to influence the design of the built environment. Projects ranged from activating public spaces in the heart of our cities to workplace transformation post Covid and research that laid out the future of the data economy. In addition to my many years of Strategy work, I taught a graduate level course in Design at McCombs Business School at the University of Texas for three years and now teach the Capstone course for the Design in Health Masters Program at UT's School for Design and Creative Technologies.
Early in my career I was heavily involved in the Arts in New York City, directing and producing a range of multimedia and multi-sensory performance events. In addition to creating my own artwork, I worked with Creative Time, The Art Matters Foundation, the Foundry Theatre, and VUE. In 1999, I am proud to have won a BESSIE for Interactive Media installation for my work Red Dive and the Lower East Side Tenement Museum.
